This is Mac (the California two-spot octopus). It's a good thing it has 8 arms because, as a marketer for a small organization, Mac is busy. Busy, doing everything (or almost everything) in-house, thanks in part to a tight budget.
But Mac's a pro and can: write blogs, tweet, develop lead generation campaigns, manage the website, plan events, nuture leads, create presentations, develop sales resources, and more.
Unfortunately Mac can't do it all at once.
Mac's got a lot of drive and ambition but all too often has to put some really cool projects on the back burner.
Mac wishes it could generate better-quality leads, and more of them, for the sales team. And have real engaging conversations with their small group of Twitter and LinkedIn followers. But there's only so much time in a day, and no money for big budget agencies.
We showed Mac how to use the Social Media Engagement Chain to help the sales team tackle their fears about social selling. We also showed Mac how to support them while they engage directly with customers and prospects.
Now they're getting more well-qualified leads and having real conversations with customers and prospects via social media.
Mac still has a lot to do, but the sales and marketing team's goals are better aligned, and one of those really cool projects just got moved to the front burner.
